Drumoig put up for lease
The Courier, 5 July 2002
The Drumoig hotel and golf course complex near Leuchars has
been made available for lease.
Glasgow-based firm Creevy LLH yesterday said owners Drumoig
Ltd had asked it to market the facilities on the basis of a 35-year lease.
Spokesman Alan Creevy said the business comprised an
18-hole golf course along with a 29-bedroom hotel.
He said the complex was developed in the mid-1990s and that
although the developers have a love of golf they are principally residential
developers.
Eighty executive houses had already been built on site, he
said, and another 40 were planned.
However our clients core business is house
building and while the golf and hotel resort produces income well in excess of
£800,000 per annum, excluding VAT, they have been unable to focus their
efforts on the business.
Our clients believe that an experienced operator will
be far better placed to enhance and develop the resort, said Mr
Creevy.
He said the business had been placed on the open market on
a new 35-year lease at premium offers over £175,000 for the golf course
and the hotel. more Drumoig
