The St Andrews company Morton of Pitmilly [near Kingsbarns]
has won the Customer Care - Self-Catering Award of the Year category in the

The St Andrews operator received the accolade at the annual
presentation of prizes at the Edinburgh International Conference Centre.
Two other Fife cornpanies who were shortlisted or the
finals of the event in two other categories just missed out on silverware. The

company training category, while Nick White ,of The Inn at Lathones, near St
Andrews, was in the final list for the Manager of the Year competition.
The award was collected for the winners by John Parker, who
explained that over the years the company had been listening to feedback from
their guests and constantly improving the product. Occupancy rates are now
approaching 90%.
The customer care award exists to recognise that excellence
in service, hospitality and customer care are core business objectives for all
