Work on coastal path soon to be completed
The Courier, 6 September 2002
Work to upgrade the coastal path between Crail and the Tay
Bridge should be completed by the end of October, Scottish Enterprise Fife has
revealed.
The position has been given by Scottish Enterprise Fife
which, since January 2000, has been carrying out footpath works on this section
at a cost of more than £100,000.
In a letter to the Kingdom of Fife Tourist Board,
Scottish Enterprise Fife revealed that the Crail - Kilminning, Kilminning -
Kingsbarns and Kingsbarns - Boarhills sections were now complete.
The final sections between Boarhills and St Andrews as well
as Leuchars and Kinshaldy were subject to outstanding works. But recent
discussions with Scottish Natural Heritage and Fife Council to resolve issues
associated with these sections had resulted in successful resolution of the
routes. more Coastal Path
