General Information
According to the Scheme for
the establishment of Community Councils in Fife:
The general purpose of a Community Council shall be
to ascertain, co-ordinate and express to the local authorities for its area,
and to public authorities, the views of the community which it represents, in
relation to matters for which those authorities are responsible, and to take
such action in the interests of that community as appears to it to be expedient
and practicable. Community Councils are encouraged to promote community
participation and a sense of community spirit within their community.
In addition to the general purpose of a Community Council,
a Community Council may carry out such other functions as approved where
appropriate by Fife Council or any other body who may provide resources to
carry out the function, including the safeguarding and improvement of the
amenities and environment in their area.
The constitution is
governed by the Scheme for the establishment of Community Councils in Fife.

future development in the village and to explore where and what development

questionnaire to every house in the village to try and find out what are the
housing needs in the village, if any......"
Results of this survey can be obtained from the Village Post
Office.
