In the weeks leading up to the event Richemont, the owners of dunhill, announced on the official event website, dunhilllinks.com, that public transport details would follow soon. On the eve of the event, rather than providing the expected information, they pulled the main link to this useless page.

Poor show really.

For those who, for whatever reason, wish to travel to the Kingsbarns venue by public transport, here is some very basic information:

Kingsbarns is seven miles (20 minutes by bus) from St Andrews on the road to Crail, and the official entry to Kingsbarns Golf Links lies half a mile to the south east of Kingsbarns village. The walk from the main road to the golf course is about half a mile.

Kingsbarns Golf Links is on Stagecoach coastal bus route 95, which runs from Dundee to Leven (with a change of bus at St Andrews). These buses pass Leuchars train station which itself lies on the main east coast London-Edinburgh-Aberdeen line. The buses occasionally connect with trains.

There, that didn't take long.
